Think of it another way. Science functions according to God.
Science is the process of understanding "what is."
God is "what is"...He is the "I Am."
As Galileo said, "Mathematics is the language in which God has written the universe."
"Kepler, who originally studied to be a priest at the University of Tübingen, wrote: “I had the intention of becoming a theologian … but now I see how God is, by my endeavors, also glorified in astronomy, for ‘the heavens declare the glory of God.’" "Science is the process of thinking God’s thoughts after Him.” (Source)
I meant to ping you to comment #32 above.
Beautiful words worth repeating:
“As Galileo said, “Mathematics is the language in which God has written the universe.”
“Kepler, who originally studied to be a priest at the University of Tübingen, wrote: “I had the intention of becoming a theologian … but now I see how God is, by my endeavors, also glorified in astronomy, for ‘the heavens declare the glory of God.’”
“Science is the process of thinking God’s thoughts after Him.”
When I stood in the courtyard of the Uffizi in Florence Italy, I was in awe of the men represented by the statues of the greats of Florence’s Renaissance period: Alighieri, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Brunelleschi, Giotto, Da Vinci, Vespucci, Donatello, Galileo Galilei, Pisano, Machiavelli, Cellini, and other greats. 28 statues total between the columns. It was a step back in time.
These guys were great visionary thinkers. They understood.
