he is working his butt off
welcome to the party pal
Maybe the Demented One should start a GoFundMe page for all the Student Loan deadbeats. This SCOTUS decision is going to do a lot of damage to top of the line cell phone and car sales, European tourism, Peloton exercise machines, and Starbucks and Sushi sales.
I couldn't do that either.
Fetch me my sack cloth, ashes, clutching pearls, and lead me to my weeping couch. This poor poor man. Why should he be expected to pay his bills? After all he hated his job and CHOSE to take out loans to go to school. And $220 a month. I am weeping at such a large expense. Working three jobs just to pay that bill.
I just don’t think I will be able to get out of bed and go to work.
Life was a carnival! We entertained ourselves! We didn’t need moooovin’ pitchurrrres. In my day, there was only one show in town — it was called “Stare At The Sun!” … That’s right! You’d sit in the middle of an open field and stare up at the sun ‘til your eyeballs burst into flames! And you thought, “Oh, no! Maybe I shouldn’t’ve stared directly into the burning sun with my eyes wide open.” But it was too late! Your head was on fire and people were roastin’ chickens over it. … And that’s the way it was and we liked it!
Student loans are the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the American people.
In the late 90’s I was being overlooked for promotion after promotion because I did not have a degree.
In 1999, I changed employers to an employer that paid 100% of tuition and books as long as you were:
A. In a degree program that benefited the employer
B. Were a satisfactory employee
C. Got a grade of C or higher, (they did NOT pay for a C-minus)
I worked for them and earned my bachelor’s degree, and I paid not 1 cent of it.
When I finished, I was overlooked for another promotion. I asked if they would pay for grad school, they said yes.
I then earned my MBA.
Once my MBA was in-hand, I worked the requisite year after completing my degree to not owe any of it back, and then left the company for a much higher salary and my salary has continued to climb ever since.
Total cost was over $120,000 and 6 years of my life spent working and going to school full time.
Oh, did I mention I have no student loan debt either?
The opportunities are out there, you just have to think a little outside of the box and be willing to put in the work.
My son had a roommate in college, took out loans and then blew it on stuff. My son joined the guard and in the middle of college deployed to Kuwait, Qatar, iraq and Afghanistan. I was a career military member and told my son here is a way to pay for college because I am not.
I imagine many of these whiners are similar to my sons roommate, not to mention how many spent 10s of thousands on ancient Egyptian lesbian art studies degrees, then complain they can’t find a job to pay back loans they freely took.
With that said the govt and schools(bastions of liberalism) are to blame for high tuition costs. Govt guarantees loans, colleges raise rates astronomically. Shocking liberals who complain about the evils of capitalism sure have no problem with profit
My first year at OSU in 1980 was 299 full time and I believe 15 or 16 credits and above cost no extra. Could afford that even on minimum wage, but joined the military anyways to pay for it, loved it so much I stayed for almost 40 years
Sure inflation but not to the extent that tuition has risen, and don’t get me started on online schools and their rates, what a scam
Sid borrowed money at age 45 to get a degree and a new better job
Now he’s wearing safety yellow, working 3 jobs, and renting and wants
Biden bucks to bail him out of debt
Sounds like a real catch
How many are paying hundreds a month for cable TV and cellphones?
1. Stop voting for liberals, Democrats, and globalists. These are the people who shipped your jobs overseas and who have let immigration (legal and illegal) run amok and thus let a ton of people in the nation to compete for your jobs, run down your wages, and increase your taxes via their use of social programs.
2. Stop supporting the liberals who run universities. You know, those people who charge you a ton of tuition, try to indoctrinate to their world view, talk about the 'wonders' of Marxism, all while sitting on huge endowments and enjoying 'not-for-profit' status.
3. Do your homework and realize that your rent, and almost everything else has become more expensive because of Democrat-driven inflation. It wasn't like this under Trump, but it was under Carter too.
4. Get rid of your unnecessary expenses, like cable or satellite TV, expensive cell phone plans, frequent phone upgrades, fast-food, and probably 80% of what most people have delivered to their homes multiple times a week by Amazon etc.
That's a start. What you DON'T do is expect everyone else to subsidize your life.
I paid my loan back, you pay yours.
Joe Biden lied. He was attempting to manipulate the voters in an attempt to get their votes.
Or better yet, do what I did, work when you’re in college to pay off at least part of the tuition.
Did that too.
3 jobs, degree in business administration and you still can’t make it? Hard to believe a high priced degree in Lesbian Dance Theory doesn’t pay enough to live good. Maybe you should have learned a Skilled Trade for FREE!!!
MANY, MANY of these kids NEVER use the money for school, I was a catering director at a country club for about 5 years over that 5 years I had several clients that used student loans to pay for weddings, honeymoons ect. so when I hear that sugar daddy Joe thinks taxpayers SHOULD pay these loans my BLOOD BOILS!
So, who is supposed to benefit from having college-educated people available to work? Tax THEM instead of US — that’s the DEMONCRATIC way (misspelling intentional).
I paid mine. In Full.
The truck driver who’s been on the road away from family for a week or more pulling down 70k feels the dude’s pain no doubt. As does they guy laying asphalt in the summer. Or the guy running a small landscaping business.
