Absolutely. Our deepstate contrived to use Ukraine to break up the Russian Federation, and in a fit of pique Putin attacked, after having already taken over Crimea, which was Ukraines after Kruscheva assigned administrative control fair and square.
Putin took the bate where a wise and patient man would have abstained and tried to work on a peaceful resolution to the breakup of Russia with our crack diplomatice team includine Rice, Nuland and Blinken.
