You are mistaken, but you already know that.
What you, and many others, are justifiably upset about is that an extremely rare medical condition (typically the result of a genetic defect) is being treated like the cause celebre and that it is being pushed onto the larger population; as if somehow there is a trans kid behind every Bush.
Statistically impossible. The percentage of the population suffering from actual gender dysphoria is less than 1.7%.
The rest is social contagion.
Further, this approach of dispensing hormones like candy flies in the face of actual science.
Until a few years ago, a diagnosis of gender dysphoria was only provided after a thorough evaluation and lab work by a general practioner, an endocrinologist, a psychiatrist, and a licensed therapist. An entire team needed to rule out any possible treatable issues (such as adrenal imbalance, possible tumors, etc) as well as psychological issues before proclaiming someone is transgender.
What happened? Agenda and affirmation replaced actual science.
It’s lunacy.
It’s a mental illness - made worse by those who cater to it.
