I have never seen a loose employee at Aldi other than the lone cashier.I think it depends what day and time you go. I go on a weekend morning, when there has been heavy shopping the night before. There are always 3 or 4 employees out restocking the shelves. We're on a “Hi, how you doin’” basis.
