I somewhat sympathize with this woman, although she could have phrased things better.
Awhile back I accompanied my elderly aunt to see a medical specialist. The specialist was from India or Pakistan or wherever. The guy was highly rated. Maybe he was a medical genius. Well, okay. I’d have no reason to doubt that.
My aunt understood zero of what he said. I caught maybe 2/3 of it, even after asking him to repeat things.
I can’t wait for artificial intelligence to start controlling the world. Then maybe an IA program could translate what the doctor was saying into something my aunt and I could understand.
AI won’t be used for translation.
It’ll replace the Pak Quack.
Just a few stardates away:
—> My aunt understood zero of what he said.
First, they replaced my Microsoft computer tech assistance, but I had no idea what they said, so I hung up.
Then they replaced my doctors and I still don’t know what they’re saying, but I can’t hang up!
i feel the same way everytime I call a creditor... cant understand a single word. and asking them to slow their talking down, does absolutley no good because they just start jibbering away 100 miles a second. ridiculous...
