… (I)t is very clear that in fundamental theory, socialism and democracy are almost, if not quite, one and the same. They both rest upon the absolute right of the community to determine its own destiny and that of its members. Men as communities are supreme over men as individuals. …

— Woodrow Wilson, “Socialism and Democracy”
If the so-called battle for democracy is instead interpreted in this light as the battle for socialism, then the dictatorship is of course the main goal and no irony is present.

As O’Brien said in 1984, one does not establish a dictatorship to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship.

Tucker - take heart from this - classic Farage (more proof of the corruption of the FakeNewsMSM):

Men as communities are supreme over men as individuals. …

The tyranny of the majority (or, these days, the tyranny of the vote 'manufacturers'). It's always the people who see themselves as the heads of the 'communities' who favor community over individuals. There is no freedom in a system that doesn't acknowledge the supreme God given right of the individual to self-determine, independent of the community. The only exceptions are when an individual's rights threaten those of other individuals.

Nothing has changed since the times of kings and queens. Horrible humans just seem to find a way to rule.

Farage is Britain’s only hope. The Tories are hopeless. The country desperately needs Nigel - or someone just like him - to be elected PM and start getting rid of their Deep State which is probably even worse than ours.

A democratic 51% majority can easily vote itself into a dictatorship. Happens all the time in Latin America.
