The real problem is, there are easily enough squishy republicans in the House for this horse $hit to pass.

A bit off topic, but now the lgbt aren’t satisfied with a month dedicated to celebrating their vile nastiness, now they are calling for a summer of celebration as well

Thanks, but rather than posting only provide a smidgen of the 300 words normally allowed for excerpts, try to provide the substance of the article in excerpts.

The Equality Act would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, economic status, sex and national origin, to further prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation. /..“We cannot allow extremists in our country to once again normalize homophobia and attacks on LGBTQ people,” Takano said .. the Equality Act is loaded with a myriad of unintended consequences so egregious that even voices within the pro-LGBT community oppose it for reasons outside of religious liberty. “It would eliminate women and girls as a coherent legal category worthy of civil rights protection,” said Julia Beck, a self-described radical lesbian feminist and the former law and policy co-chair for Baltimore’s LGBTQ Commission.
Republicans supported the goals of the Equality Act, which is why they introduced a “conservative alternative” called the Fairness for All Act in December 2019.

Yes, I share your concern, considering there were enough to bypass filibuster of that wicked “marriage equality” garbage at the end of last Congress.
