To my mind, there are five main possible explanations, in descending order of probability.
- The US establishment — Pentagon to press — is engaged in a complex cross-party conspiracy of psyops to unnerve and mystify America’s adversaries, especially the Chinese.
- Perhaps they want to convince them America possesses advanced alien technology, and America has been reverse-engineering it for decades
- The US establishment has some incredible new military tech — something truly astonishing, like anti-gravity aircraft — and they’ve had it for ages, and they want to hide it from everyone: Americans as much as the Chinese
- The US establishment has gone collectively mad, or is suffering some mass hallucination, stemming from a few credulous individuals (a process known in psychology as ‘contagion’)
- The US military/elite sincerely believes we are being visited by non human intelligence — but they’re wrong
- The US military/elite sincerely believes we are being visited by non human intelligence — and they are right

The aliens are already among us but they insist we call them immigrants, and no, they cannot learn to live among us peacefully.

I’m inclined to think that we are the inhabitants of planet Australia and that the intergalactic human dirt was dropped here.

I noticed you had to specify “non-human” aliens from the millions of human aliens that come across every year. However, the better term would be “Immigration Virus”, because the nature of the illegal ‘immigrants’ are closer to the definition of a virus than an alien intrusion (viruses multiply after an infection).
Who cares? This possiblity pales in comparison to the fascist state the USA has become. Beam me up green guys.
Are we voting? I vote no. I don’t believe in aliens. Maybe there are some very far away, but I don’t believe there are any here on Earth.
In principle, I do believe in other beungs. However, eschtological wise, I dont believe they are allowed to visit us.
Some of the phenomena we’re going to be seeing continues to be unexplained and might, in fact… something that we don’t yet understand.

Just because the military reports UFOs, does not mean they are acknowledging extra-terrestrial activity. It just means that flying objects can’t always be unidentified. Period.
