There are multiple supplements that can reduce CRP levels.

Have you tried any?

Yes I’ve taken probably all of them, fish oil, bromelain, flax, chia etc. The steroid keeps my levels in check for now and I am a new patient to this disease so I’ve been working thru new diet and supplement regimens, anti inflammatory diet foods and making sure I don’t gain weight on the prednisone. Also been walking 3 miles most days. My CRP level is supposed to be under 10 and I was at 153 when diagnosed, Sed Rate was supposed to be under 12 I think, and I was at 96. Giant Cell Arteritis is an auto immune disease that causes inflammation in the temporal arteries causing headaches, jaw pain, head tingling and can lead to blindness and stroke so its very important to get those levels down and keep them in check.

If you ever get a headache on a Sunday while watching football and it doesn’t go away for 3 months, you may have GCA. Get checked before you wake up blind or worse. It’s a disease most don’t know about.
