Ask yourself why Putin didn’t slap down Prigozhin. I suggest you not come to a conclusion here, just consider the possibilities.

If Prigozhin is being supported by some faction of oligarchs then he is likely way more dangerous than he appears. He may have lots of “silver bullets” to use (”silver bullets” is a reference to the Chinese warlord era).

I disagree.

Ultimately, support for Prigozhin vs. Putin is coming from the Biden Administration.

Well to be honest I don’t quite know what to make of the current situation over there. Whether its some sort of psyop or whether Prigozhin is actually rebelling. I guess we will soon find out.

The problem for Putin is that Wagner proved itself the only capable fighting force. The regular army, Chechens, Rosgvardiya, etc. all failed in their objectives in Ukraine.

Wagner took Bakhmut, and was given a massive arsenal to do so.

Putin is now regretting just how many weapons he handed over the Wagner.
