All this info makes me wonder why intact artifacts were retrieved from the Titanic. Why didn’t the weight of the water crush everything, including the ship? There were shoes and dishes and chandeliers and many other items that were in their original form. Enquiring minds want to know.
That ship slowly sunk. The rapid implosion is what caused the problem. That wasn’t there on a slowly sinking ship.
Creamation
“Creamation” — lol. Cream of Flesh & Bone?
Creamation, Cremation or Crushmation...not much difference in the end. You are fish food.
Carbon fiber is super strong and light until the moment if fails catastrophically.
We knew this in sailboats decades ago.
For example, a boat made of mild steel will deform radically but not fail. Yield strength is 2/3 of tensile strength. This means slamming into a reef or a semi-sunk cargo container will result in a huge dent, but the hull will not crack wide open.
A composite hull relying heavily on carbon fiber is way stronger and lighter than steel or aluminum. But its yield strength is like 98% of its tensile strength.
When it fails, it fails catastrophically.
The Titan debris field is going to be a million carbon fiber toothpicks. The titanium front hemisphere and the steel aft hemisphere will be ready to go again.
Toothpick-size carbon fiber shards will be the next souvenir.
Implosion under such pressures forces air etc out of all voids in the body, most notably lungs, but down to the gaps in bones where the marrow is. They’re an organic soup at best.
Cameron has the same take that I do.

I absolutely respect that point of you 100%.
I’ve watched him this week
He’s pretty astute in this
I didn’t know this about him
Solo dove Marianna 2012 in Aussie upright tube submersible
Crazy
And the Rolex on the robotic arm functioned to bottom and back !
Items that are not crushed are things that have no air pockets or hollow areas that allow for differences in pressure.
If an object has equal pressure inside and out, then it will not be bothered by the massive pressure.........................
