I feel for this person. I went through several graduations, and not once was my middle name mentioned. I never realized what an insult that was. /s

At a high school here, so many black students failed that the black community demanded that the failed black stuents be allowed to wear cap/gown and walk across the stage and receieve a 'certificate of attendance' instead of a diploma. It was staged such that the failed could not be identified from the graduates.
