Is this the same one where the Ukr were shooting Russ trying to surrender? I mean yes it happens, I’m a reader of miliItaly history etc, still doesn’t mean it’s right.

Is this the same one where the Ukr were shooting Russ trying to surrender? If you are defending your home against an invader, taking prisoners is counterproductive. They have to be guarded, fed and housed somehow, at a cost of manpower and supplies. So you kill the bastards.

Ukraine troops entered the trench from the rear of the Russian position. The Ukrainians toss grenades toward the front of the position, and some Russians tried to work their way to the rear . . . The particular Russian was trying to flee to the rear and did not yet comprehend that the exit was blocked.
