I wore out my knees praying that my child’s endocrine system would settle down before they reached the age of maturity. There was always a chance (despite having an incurable endocrine defect) that this could happen.
At 19, as an adult, my child began transitioning. He paid for everything himself.
Very few people have this disorder. It’s maddening how they are pushing transitioning on children who do not have an underlying medical condition. Most clear GD once puberty ends (18 to 24).
