Unions think that they can run the show.
Kroger and Albertsons should close their doors and tell the teamsters to “take care of your 22,000 members.”
“Kroger and Albertsons should close their doors and tell the teamsters to “take care of your 22,000 members.””
Why should they close their doors???
I agree with the Unions, we need a moratorium on mergers.
Like all kinds of mergers that “won’t result in job losses and closures” we know that’s not real. Why would you keep an Albertsons open across the street from a Ralphs? Cost of entry into the grocery market is too high to sell these stores off as grocery stores. The warehousing and logistics infrastructure isn’t there. Grocery is a very low margin business anyway. Is Publix going to expand all the way over in California? I don’t see it.
Teamsters should have stood up for kroger employees who were forced to choose between job/wages or getting the jab.
To the best of my knowledge, none of the employees who refused the jabs have been rehired.
I won’t patronize kroger/fred meyer; it would suck if I had to include Albertson’s/Safeway on the blacklist due to a merger you apparently/bizarrely support, but I’d deal with it.
