Toby Addison, 21, recalled the mortifying moment years prior when he was kicked out of the gym for “creepily” staring at a woman — despite the fact he cannot see — while on the “Happy Hour Podcast” earlier in June.
Addison, who shares his life as a blind person on his TikTok account, @blindtobes, said he was “minding his own business” during a workout when he heard a woman say: “Oh, do you like the view?”
“Obviously I don’t really know where I’m looking a lot of the time,” the content creator shared on the podcast. “I was just staring right ahead and unfortunately there was a woman doing some exercises.” The psychology and counseling student was shocked when he realized she had come over to talk to him, adding that he obviously didn’t know what kind of exercises she was doing. Addison, who had his cane folded up nearby, said he immediately told her he was blind — but she “wasn’t having any of it.”

Two young novices at the convent had to do penance for bad behavior, and the Mother Superior said, “Go and paint the last room down the corridor-ceiling, walls, and woodwork, and if there is a single spot of paint on your vestments when you’re done, it will be the end of you at this convent!”
The girls went to do as they were told, and decided the best thing was to lock the door, strip down, and put their vestments safely under the drop cloths till they were done.
When they were nearly finished, there was a knock at the door: “Blind man, could you let me in, please?”
“What are we going to do? We’re stark naked!”
“Let him in and act nonchalant. He’s blind, he’ll never know”.
And so they let him in.
“Oh, excuse me, I didn’t realize it was Casual Friday. Where do you want me to put the blinds?”

Reminds me of a logic class in college. Where a man had to enter a lady’s shower to tend to an injured woman.
So he yells to the women to close their eyes as he walks through.
“EXCUSE me what the hell are YOU looking at?”.

Women who go to the gym and set up a camera to catch men ogling them, so they can do an outraged rant, is a TikTok kind of challenge. And very quickly men have learned to ignore such women, and the women are upset at being invisible.
They do not get “views”, “upvotes”, and “likes” when they are ignored. In turn, the men don’t look at them, don’t speak to them, and don’t volunteer to ‘spot’ them when they lift weights. And this makes them madder and madder.
And it’s not just the ugly guys ignoring them, the handsome guys who they wouldn’t mind interacting with also ignore them.
Thats true. My grandmother …great lived to be in her 90s. I only clearly remember her once as a young adult. She always wore ankle length dresses and a Bonnet outside.
She also wouldn’t look men in the eyes when she talked to them. (Part of that I’ve heard my great grandfather was abusive to her—some family say not so much but they are a minority. He died around 1980 and she did in the mid-90s).
I’m a chick who’s had PT twice.
On busy days, because some of the equipment was close together, I could understand why people of both sexes would find it hard to find somewhere to look, other than the ceiling, that wouldn’t offend someone.
How I handled it: wore loose clothing and paid attention to what I was doing.
I hope the blind gentleman sues the crap out of that gym.
BTW, Mr. Addison, if women can sue for an event that took place years in the past, so can guys.
