Your granddaughter is playing Russian roulette with that adopted “previously abused 4 yr old female Pitbull”, IMO. I hope and pray that dog never turns on her or anybody else. That said I do hope she is extremely vigilant with that dog.
Cue the defenders of the “gentle loving breed” to show up and defend them ..
And the dog lives to kill another day.
Stupid. Just no. If you live way out in the country and you own some land and you've established yourself as an "alpha" to the pitbull. Then maybe, go for it. Knock yourself out. Not good for families. Animal shelters should put every pit bull to sleep. They're not fit for adoption.
She knows it makes me nervous. She’s really good with the dog so I hope it works out. The good thing is, even though I don’t approve of it, is that she lives with her boyfriend and he’s a big guy. I’d worry more if it was just her and the dog. She volunteered at the shelter when she came from and knows the dog but sometimes, I wonder if anybody really knows them. I have never personally known a mean Pit, but I know they do flip out more than other breeds.

Our grown daughter has always had pit bulls but up until recently just one at a time. The older one lived with us for several months and we became fond of her. However, she attacked their other one on Friday and our daughter tried to stop the fight. She ended up in the hospital and the doctor says she could have been killed. They’re putting down the older one. I hope that they put down or rehome the other one. This was this dog’s fourth time to be violent.
Well that’s a good question so I just googled it and I find some small towns in Illinois actually have found them so I guess it’s not statewide but inherent to the community he works for.
In my last post that was supposed to say have banned them not found them. Voice text needs some improvement.
My motto: Don't get mad, get even.
When the time is right do away with the pooch.
Just make sure there's no witnesses.
