I was a fan of the Dodgers since the days when Wally Moon, Duke Snider and Larry Sherry were household names. Frisco was our archenemy. I still recall how thrilled I was when Don Drysdale blanked the Jints in May, 1968, to set a record for consecutive shutouts--and I was there, in Dodger Stadium.
However, playoffs, player strikes, interleague play, November games and now woke politics have considerably dampened my ardor for the Bums.
