The only way to save the country is get rid of every department….send everything back to the states…all the money….

This was a question DeToquiville asked when he compared the American revolution and the French one.

He wondered if our success would last or would we eventually become like the French who absorbed the Royal bureaucracy after the overthrow of their King.

It seems his caution was justified.
