Interesting what happens when science actually works, huh? Obviously more room for study, but the results would definitely throw a wrench into their plans...in a normal world.

What would happen if everybody in Red China were to start jumping up and down in unison?

Wouldn’t this shift our seasons also? When I moved to the mountains of NC 42 years ago, my first killing frost was September 28th. Now I can garden through October.

So...Mother Earf is tipping over?

Jeez Louise...next thing you know, we’ll have gravity or something. Will Algore be selling anti-gravity credits?

Six millimeters over 17 years? And the margin of error? Oh, they say “difficult”. Let’s see, the earth is 12,756 kilometers in diameter, that is 12,756,000,000 millimeters if I did my math correctly. So, 6 out of 12,756,000,000 is 0.0000000004703668861712. And that is shifting the orbit? And that is causing global climate hysteria?

So the problem is not as simple as “CO2 bad!”? As Thomas Sowell has said, (paraphrasing), the more we learn, the more we realize how little we know. I think Einstein made a similar observation.

A bigger problem exists when millions of people from South and Central America ‘shift’ their weight northward towards the U.S. and that’s added to when people from Africa and Asia and Europe decide to shift their weight towards the U.S/ too.

The planet will have a wobble caused by all the weight added to the continental U.S.

We’re all gonna die, because the added weight will cause the Earth to get close to the sun.

I’m not a scientist, but I play one on the internet; sorta like what the democrats do on a daily basis with ‘their science’.

I find it difficult to accept any "study" these days at anything like face value. The practice of science has been degraded through reliance on computer modeling as principal rather than secondary or tertiary tool. In this case, I have trouble believing a mass as great as this planet can be so affected by the transfer of ground waters at the very thinnest layer of its surface by our own (by comparison) less-than-microbial thin film of a species.

But that's just me.

I can’t tell from all of this - does this mean the earth is losing its tilt and becoming more upright?

The Bible gives reason to believe will lose its tilt soon. Maybe it’s already started.

(Carefully avoiding the subject of the mantle ejecting more molten lava towards the exterior of the planet, mostly through the oceans, causing a slowdown of the planet’s rotation and a magnet north movement....)

Wow, mankind should just die off then to save the planet. Damn. Been a nice place to visit. Gotta go.

Imagine that. A study! Another study!

Like the pole hasn't drifted for millennia and eons?

From Britannica: "The study of polar wandering began in the early 20th century with Austrian priest and geologist Damian Kreichgauer and German scientists Wladimir Köppen and Alfred Wegener, who proposed the first paths of geomagnetic North Pole migration. It was long recognized that the directions of magnetization of many rocks do not correspond to the present direction of the geomagnetic field at their sites, but not until the 1950s was there sufficient paleomagnetic data to suggest that the poles had moved in a systematic way over Earth's surface."

Source: https://www.britannica.com/science/polar-wandering

Highlighting the phrase -- sufficient paleomagnetic data.

Well, that's disappointing but one notes an internet search of the "study" finds that it now populates multiple media sites, all with the "it's man's fault" for pumping groundwater. Implication of this? Send more money for studies. Stop pumping water for agriculture. And make the climate change folks livid. because it was gases but NOW it's pumping groundwater. Oy.

It is MORE LIKELY that shipping military hardware to the Ukraine has caused far greater damage.
And then there is the stuff that was left behind in Afghanistan.
Academic exercises posing as conclusive proof of human-caused climate change are for fools, liars and frauds.

Do you understand how many variables had to be ignored to come up with this?

This is not science, it does not warrant further investigation.

Statistics/modeling can be a useful tool in the right hands.
This is not it. At best, they raise a question, not give you an answer. I can balance a wheel on my car, can I change the balance of the earth of sun?

Statistics/modeling ware tools in closed, limited controlled environment like manufacturing. Complex ones, like the human body, you can’t measure enough variables to get a good answer.

First it was China building to much in one area causing it now it’s pumping groundwater.

Oh brother stories never end.
