What can be inferred from these exchanges? That the fighting has been tough, and neither side is suffering mass surrenders. And, that Ukraine, with a lot of help from the outside, has been holding its own against Russia. Even with the current counter-offensive, gains have been modest.

The platoon commander of the 110th separate mechanized brigade of Ukraine, told the Russians that they surrendered voluntarily to the rescue of the many wounded. Russian military agreed and Ukrainian units arrived armed with two BMP-1 vehicles.”
