A sign of our present times. I remember in the early and mid-90s getting my news muchly from short wave. If we lose internet we may have to return to that medium. It was hard to verify the validity of the information but in time it seemed to prove out. I first heard Larry Klayman of Judicial Watch on short wave.
Then the world wide web opened up and Free Republic came on the scene, along with Rush Limbaugh (who I had heard occasionally on short wave) and it became a whole new world!
That is amazing! I loved HAM radios as a kid and it didn’t hurt a bit that my young school mate and church mate had big clear brown eyes. We were 6th graders at most and I learned the Morse Code to take my small part, and watched John raise a reply
from New Zealand. Today the Morse Code is thought a new strain of foreign flu, from Morse.😚
Btw, monkeywerx picked up
a sponsor advertising HAM radios I noticed. I’m interested myself. Great hobby.
Someone said Nellie Ore was using HAM radio, when Perkins Coui hired her organization to do the “Russia, Russia, Russia” Hoax.
Figures. 😵💫
