Why are you surprised I said that? It’s true. You missed my point. ‘Very conservative’ will never win a general. You stated Dems are more afraid of DeSantis than Trump. Yes, Dems are more afraid of conservatives but they don’t worry about them winning the general. DeSantis can’t win just like Cruz couldn’t win. And that is the real argument for our side……who has a better chance of winning - Very conservative or Populist?
That also explains why they had to destroy Trump personally because his populist views and policies are VERY popular with most Americans regardless of party. They couldn’t attack his policies. He was so effective speaking that they refused to broadcast him. Instead, they ‘told’ (twisted) what he said. They never mentioned his policies only his personality and DOJ lies. Many believed it including some here.
Sadly, the pearl clutchers here can’t understand this simple concept. DeSantis cannot win the general period, his conservative laws passed in FL will be used against him turning off independents and all democrats including the ones that voted for Trump. Vivek would have a shot if republicans could get past their phobias.
As a side note, Dems also have a populist, RFK jr. And they won’t let him win even though he has tremendous support. Both parties despise populists because they stick with common sense and what the people want. The uniparty ignores us and enriches themselves and other elites. They do nothing else.
Meanwhile, voters spend months arguing about 2 men instead of actively working to primary 99% of so-called republicans in Congress. And until that happens, call them repeatedly demanding they step up and act. THIS should have been the game plan starting 2016. Nothing has changed and it won’t change, regardless of who is elected. And voters will continue to point fingers instead of getting engaged in the solution - get off the couch, pick up the phone.
