I agree. The fans are ordinary middle class folks. The basketball players are gangsta. So there's a disconnect right there.

Are most of them really gangster though? LeBron is a big baby. For all his guns, Ja Morant seems more liked a petulant brat than a gangster.

Pee Wee Kirkland turned down being drafted by the Bulls, because he was making more money slinging drugs. But even he went legit and became a motivational speaker and got a Masters degree.

Banning tattoos is an absolute NON-STARTER! If you want to completely alienate an entire generation or two, then your ban is OK, but:

The number of young adults I have coming into my business DAILY that have a LOT of art on them is astounding. Even the young men and women at the RODEO not just in the crowd and performing, but also in ALL the service positions have more work on them than I used to see working at the naval base twenty+ years ago.

Honestly, it’s like a plague, there is so much ink on folks now.

Perhaps another sign of a culture with more money than sense?
