I would suspect, the average Italian already knows how to make their own pasta if they really wanted to, but that takes time and effort. Modern folks don’t usually want to take time and craft their meals from scratch.

Pasta is very easy to make at home, and cheap.
But the best value is a large can of Beefareeno from the Price Club.

My Grandmother made her own pasta back in the 60’s, pre-pasta machine days. Took all day and I usually helped.
She loved making it and she was Croatian!

"Italians could Boycott Pasta...." And eat what instead, ... potatoes?
To: nickcarraway
Uhmmm....Italians make their own pasta from wheat flour. Like normal people do before food leviathan corporations stated doing it as a convenience.

The best family days my kids experienced growing up were our hand made ravioli days. So much fun!

Joe Biden is to blame. Biden was the rabid bull in the World's china shop.
As Barack Obama once said, “Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f... things up.”

Looks like this is turning into a real strain.

It’s a combination of covid lockdowns and Joe’s refusal to cut spending. I assume all the nations in the West are in the same boat, and they all have massive welfare states.

"Uhmmm....Italians make their own pasta from wheat flour."
Did they buy their wheat flour from Ukraine?

My German grandmother used to make homemade German Spaetzle noodles.
It's really easy - and they are yummy.

What a nice little nugget there at the end. The Europeans always road test the very worst ideas, then the left advocates them here, even though they failed there. I’m sure their effort at price controls is going to work out swell

Fact: Pasta manufacturing is a labor intensive process requiring lots of machinery.
Much less expensive buying flour and making pizza.

[WIKI] “The cultivation of durum generates greater yield than other wheats in areas of low precipitation (3–5 dm). Good yields can be obtained by irrigation, but this is rarely done. In the first half of the 20th century, the crop was widely grown in Russia.

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting shell shocked over these pasta threads. I’m pulling out my angel hair.
