Thanks all, but I figure that if I drip enough sarcasm without stating it, maybe I can start penetrating the skulls of many here who seem CONVINCED that they have ‘control’ over the schools that their kids attend - while people like you guys understand that my post is true sarcasm.
But if I state that it is sarcasm, my target audience, people who have young kids or grandkids will immediately think that I’m trying to be funny, and discount it - whereas by not stating such some may, hopefully, realize: “crap, that’s me” and start to deal with the horrific consequences of their decisions.

Your point was well presented. Many parents are too focused on sports, hobbies, etc.
When I became a parent my goals became focused around being a parent, not just a breadwinner and supplier of a place to live, while ‘doin my own thang’.
