I don’t dispute what you say but there were several news stories (mostly Euro outlets) saying that the initial wave of high speed missiles were accompanied by a wave of drones and many very expensive Western SAM’s were launched against the drones.
It is very hard to find reliable information about anything “Ukraine” but “rockets” are not that expensive so if you launched a bunch of cheap unguided dumb rockets with range along with your diamond plated guided ones it would be a win if the systems targeted the cheap ones.
They are mostly using anti-aircraft guns to take down drones. This article is talking about how the patriot is taking down the hypersonic missiles. Which is impressive regardless of who you want to win.
I take it as once again we were lied to about our capabilities for two reasons. 1) it keeps the enemy from knowing. 2) so they can keep getting more money.
