DANCING DAYS (Count Vlad does Led Zeppelin)
Dancing Days - YouTube ^

The Count is doing Led Zeppelin's “Dancing Days” but with a twist. There is an allusion to boxing as a dance, and to Zeppelin's song “Heartbreaker.” If you like the music please subscribe.

No it’s not. It’s a work of art that looks at the internal working of a song to find out the various vectors and indices that compete for attention and see where they lead. There is a lot going on and the various strands (like string theory) work together to form a cohesive whole, if you stand back from it and see the big picture.

Why would you put yourself through that kind of torture?

Just watch a Yôko Ôno performance if you're that masochistic.

Just to let you know, I couldn't watch even a couple of seconds.

Sigh, I am probably older than you.

I would agree with you that Yoko is torture. But this piece is very complex. Put your preconceptions or comparisons to Led Zeppelin’s version away and look at the visuals, at the comparison between dance and boxing, at the character who enter the strange world and then leaves at the end, that acts like bookends to complete the story. This takes place in a circus, a wild world. And if you are a Zeppelin fan there is the solo out of “Heartbreaker” that is played here to mix things up and musically accompany the boxing. Anyway, there is a lot here.

I'll pass on this one, thanks just the same.

The first line of Desiderata:

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
Seems appropriate for me.

You did give me a flash back of when the Led Zeppelin III album first came out.   Somebody brought it to school and it caused a log jam in the hallway with everybody wanting to see how the little pictures changed with the thumb wheel.   Epic times.
