I find it weird how some Christians feel the need to bend over backwards to tell society how much they “love” homosexuals.
Do we do the same gymnastics for car thieves? people engaged in extra-marital affairs? Porn stars? Alcoholics?
Its all sin, its all self-destructive to oneself, and others. God may give you the grace to repent and we pray that happens. Wonderful!
If not, suffer the consequences.
Many who call themselves Christians and some who are, have a strange worldview and expectation of what that love should look like and manifest.
No Christian can condone sin or brush it off.
Calling it out as sin is NOT unloving, as the left likes to accuse Christians of being. Loving the sinner, IMO, is treating them with the dignity and respect due to all human being because of their inherent worth of being made in the image of God. However, it does not include condoning sin or capitulating to their demands. Their sin needs to be called out and they need to be called to repentance and faith in Christ.
Jesus was perfect love, but still had strong words for the Pharisees (Matthew 23) and cleared the Temple of the money changers in quite a display of physical action.
He never compromised on sin even when He brough the message of the gospel to the sinner.
I have two beautiful nieces and a personable nephew both claiming to be “gay.” What am I to do? I hate it for them. I hate it for their parents. But I continue to interact with them. Of course. Send them card and texts.
