16. The shallowness of the faith communities

How many churches now sit empty because they went along with the narrative? I've seen three church structures, all literally with a quarter mile of each other, that have been sold to local merchants and turned into a business of some sort. They paid the price for their betrayal.

Embarrassed to say even my church had one foot in the foolishness, even with my remonstrating to the elders.

My wife's church disbanded due to how they handled the COVID fiasco. For months, they held "remote services" over the Internet in a ZOOM call. Then when finally back to church, everybody had to be fully masked and had to maintain "social distancing" in the pews. Most people never returned.

My wife actually got yelled at and lectured for not having her mask already on when she got out of her car in the parking lot. Final straw was when the pastor urged the entire congregatation to get fully vaxxed and boosted.

People had enough, including my wife, and stopped going altogether. Eventually, the church had to close down and today there is a "for lease" sign on the building.

Yes it seems we got purged.

Our church is 1/3 of what it was but still continues. Leaders have largely repented of shutting down the assembly but great damage was done.

My parent’s church closed, got sold, and guess who bought it? of course. The preacher moved out of state and no longer wants to preach. My parents had stopped going during covid but found out through friends that the preacher was not requiring masks thus leaving older people vulnerable. They have been churchgoers all their lives but since covid have no desire, just watching televangelists. Since then they have mentally and physically gone downhill.

I haven't been back to my local church for exactly this reason. If the Church won't stand up to evil, it doesn't deserve to exist.
