correction on my post about eggs. They added miRNA to the yoke and freeze dried it then eat it raw. Some of it did transfer into the consumer.
The study on eggs suggested to use milk.

Eggs aren't a problem for us because we have a neighbor who's chickens produce more far more eggs than he can use.

I recently gave up beef and now looking at bacon. Beef isn't so much a problem because there is plenty of moose and venison available. Also, plenty of wild caught fish.

There is no local substitute for store bought bacon however.
