....that ship is really not a commissioned United States Navy warship...it is a “United States Naval Ship” one of many non-combat-capable auxiliaries (fleet oilers, cargo ships, and such...)

“USNS Harvey Milk is the second of the John Lewis-class of underway replenishment oilers, operated by the Military Sealift Command to support ships of the United States Navy”
