Tom MacDonald is the conservative poet of his time. When I say, of his time, unfortunately, that means rap. It might be difficult for some to get past the rap style music and his over-the-top tattooes and multiple piercings but if you dismiss him, you’re going to miss an extraordinary musician.
I’m of the vintage variety (old lady, LOL) and came across Tom last year, absolutely fell in love with his songs. I am not a fan of ‘rap’, am more a country gal myself, but Tom does good work in my opinion. Tats and piercings don’t deter from a person’s good heart. Tom has led me to other rappers who are actually quite decent and don’t mind listening to them...while the names escape me at the moment, the fellow who did the “Boycott Target” and there were two others who joined in some of Tom’s songs.
