About a year and a half ago, my Windows phone died. So I researched Linux phones. I bought a Volla Phone.
Volla gives you an OS option: Linux or Volla OS (their own propriety brand). I opted for the latter.
Volla is manufactured in Germany. I was assured it would work in the U.S. When it arrived, I went to two T-Mobil stores, and two Metro-PCS stores. Nobody could get their Sim cards to work with the phone.
I sent the Volla Phone back to Germany, and bought an Apple.
I believe you. You at least gave it a shot though which puts you above 90% of most others. How many others just sit idle? Complain and, well, complain? You did more.
You’ll note I started a Microsoft thread above. And I linked you to the (same-ish) thread I started yesterday regarding Apple.
I don’t plan to start one about Google tomorrow, despite that I could since they’re the same kind of illness.
I readily recognize the immaturity of the phone side of the issue. The desktop situation is just the opposite, you have a highly mature situation and you have to work hard to find those “it doesn’t work” situations. Boycotting Microsoft and Apple Mac is both doable and simple. I double up the question. How many others just sit idle?
I remain considering using the word “magical” as appropriate.
