Celebrating the ongoing movement to protect and advance equality for LGBTQ+ communities around the world, Apple is introducing a new Pride Edition Sport Band accompanied by a matching watch face and iOS wallpaper.
Through these efforts, Apple supports and brings awareness to LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations that are working to bring about positive change, including Equality Federation Institute, an advocacy accelerator that is building a network of state-based LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations in the U.S., and GLSEN, an education organization working to end discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Additional advocacy organizations Apple supports include Encircle, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, Gender Spectrum, Human Rights Campaign, ILGA World, the National Center for Transgender Equality, PFLAG, SMYAL, and The Trevor Project.

There's not a person who would dare boycott Apple. I know. I've met them personally, first hand. Apple will never be boycotted by Apple's customers.
I've begged people even to consider switching - not even hey let's actually do the work. It's crickets, it isn't happening. There is something "magical" for lack of a better word that makes these big tech companies immune to boycotts. I don't know what it is, but as a spectator I can attest to it and I know for certain others have seen it as well. They have omnipotent immunity.
Every single deviant celebrating pride month better enjoy it while they can! Their eternal destination won’t be so enjoyable.
That’s because they have a lot of money invested in the platform: apps, data storage, and inter connectivity of their devices.
Apple has released a new Pride wallpaper for iOS 16.5 and a new Pride watch face for watchOS 9.5. The wallpaper is described as “another vibrant interpretation of this year’s Pride design” and will dynamically move when you unlock your iPhone. The new Pride Edition Sport Band for Apple Watch features speckled rainbow-colored pills on a white background.
Rainbow colored pills? Y’all saying gays have drug problems?
Is there an “Audrey Hale Edition” of the watch to celebrate her murdering six people, including three nine year olds?
Trouble with boycotting Apple is that we go from one corrupt company to another corrupt company. And THAT company gave us Windows, with its associated and continuing awfulness.
So I, at least, am forced to use the lesser of two evils.
Funding a big tech company is in fact purely voluntary.
Linux is where I am heading. Only hiccup is certain things are only allowed on Windows and Mac OS, like TurboTax. I want the forms filled out on my PC, so I refused to file over the Internet. But TurboTax and other apps don’t have a suitable replacement with Linux. Yet. They have until October 2025 when Windows 10 become EOL’ed.
Yes. Switching costs would be very high. The cost of changing your beer brand or a retail store? Zero.

We’re the ones with the most (on paper) reasons to quit using these terrible companies products. Despite having the most reasons, conservatives seem to have the most minuscule presence.
The LGBTQ+ crowd are running around telling the “media” turd rollers about how afraid they are because they are trannies and then, like the idiots they are, they go out and spend a small fortune for a watch to advertise their tranniness. Geez. If they had a brain, they’d take them out and play with them.
Google is a woke dumpster fire too, so unless you’re suggesting people switch to dumb-phones (not happening), you’re cornered.
Every major company is woke.
Apple’s CEO is a poofter, what would you expect so what would you expect.
Being cornered is a choice, even on smartphones. Having far fewer options it is more of a challenge which is the only reason I didn’t mention Google. It requires giving up the apps. Unfortunately, we live in an age where even with child indoctrination people aren’t going to give up their Candy Crush.(sigh) That’s just the fact of where we are currently standing. The smartphones themselves are super easy to use.

The two most complete options that do not require much tech know how look like the Pinephone Pro and the Librem 5. Other products seem obviously geared toward users who want to do more than just “use the phone.”
Child indoctrination, or apps. You know, one hand or the other. It just depends on one’s priorities.
I’ve messed around with rooting Android and installing de-googled OS’s. It’s a major chore for me to use that kind of phone as a daily driver, and I’m a nerd.
But interestingly, note that Apple has kept its LGBTQ+ support pretty low-key in 2023. They don’t want to be “Bud Lighted” for all the wrong reasons.
