It’s customary for film school students to express a preference for black & white to color, and film to video. Grainy black & white film is especially beloved. It’s a form of aesthetic virtue signalling.
#4 You can clearly see the painted backdrops in shows like ‘Gunsmoke’ and other shows when they are suppose to be outdoors.
