There’s no reason to believe that a FTL drive can be built, a drive that would be needed to cross the distances between stars in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe in the far future such a thing will exist, most likely not.

Since the galaxy is made up of the same stuff, the same metals and alloys and such and since the laws of physics seem fairly consistent across space time there is no reason to suspect beings from another world have come our way to crash or study us.

Aliens and the hocum that go with them are little more than a distraction that seems to pop up every so often by a bored, anxious population. It’s the stuff of pulp SciFi kept alive to generate clicks, sell books, and build the occasional summer blockbuster film around.

The UFO literature says that “portals” (wormholes) are used, both natural and artificial to move to any point in space or time.

It is fine if you do not believe they exist, but if they do that would overcome the speed of light issue.

Yep we now now everything there is to know about the universe and the physics it employs - we only need to fill in the details - the same thing people said in the 1950s.

Manned powered flight was also thought impossible as was manned space flight.

It's been many years since someone close to this subject suggested these "UFO's" are coming from some distant planet, star system, or galaxy. That's only in movies.

The common theory since the 1960's has been extradimensional and that is almost a foregone conclusion nowadays.

It's all very Biblical sounding, with beings like angels, jinn, daemons, or other spirits.
