I am sorry that none of the mob of feral urban youths got a USMC lesson in manners. The author is probably right that the Marines probably thought they would be the ones demonized and punished by their woke leadership if they defended themselves.
Frankly, it doesn’t pay to try to correct bad behavior on your own. The marines should’ve probably just called the police & let them deal with it. If they didn’t come, let the kids do what they do. The world we live in...
How do you defeat a Marine? The same way you defeat anyone else: make him more afraid of his own command chain than he is of the enemy. That way he won’t take personal initiative or do *anything* without clear and explicit orders from higher up, to cover his ass in case something goes wrong.
It’s the same way we have all become more afraid of our own police departments, prosecutors, and district attorneys than we are of the obviously visible criminals in our midst. A criminal can only make your life miserable for a little while. A vindictive prosecutor on a crusade can make you and your family’s lives a living Hell for years.
