Don't forget to check the F1-GP thread: ...F1-GP
That’s a long piece of track on the bottom.
Anyone know how to rough guestimate miles when viewing distances and kpm and km?
Roughly a KM is 60% of a mile...if this helps.
Phone other thing:
-40 C is the same as -40 F
Thanks for the new thread.
Right about the time you were posting it our first bear of the season did a drive-by in our back driveway...perhaps he was looking for the $50,000 lug nuts (see F1 thread) or a pick-a-nick basket!
Thanks. So 300 kph would work out roghyl to 180 mph. They keep showing kph when they show the driver viewpoints when watching races, and I didn’t know how to quickly convert- this will help to get rough estimate of how fast they are taking corners and such, which I’m interested in. I went to school about 20,years too early. They started teaching metric and standard both after I gradiated unfortunately.
We live in the country and had a house with a huge deck on it and loads of apple trees around. I’d go on deck to smoke cigarettes, and would watch them meander around. The property. One day a younger yearling or so walked right under where I was standing, and I clapped to get it away from the house, and it startled the bear which too, off 90 mph with paving gravel flying every which way.
I wouldn’t want to have to try to outrun one- I’d lose within a few feet lol
The Rain in Spain this weekend…. Good chance. Rain is the great equalizer! Going to be fun, we’ll for all except Lance.
Just turned onto ESPN2 for P2.
32°F = 0°C 212°F = 100°C
Or if picking nits: Convert Celsius to Fahrenheit using the °F = (°C x 1.8) + 32 or °F = °C x 9\5 {\displaystyle {\frac {9}{5}}} + 32 formula. Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius with the °C = (°F - 32) x 5\9{\frac {5}{9}} formula.
NOTE: In computers the "/" (forward slash) means Divide and the "\" (back slash) is the symbol for Fractional Numbers.
There are tons of online Conversion sites for example just type in Your Browser Bar (no brackets) [meter to yard] or [liter to gallon] and you'll get a box to put numbers in and it will give you the exact number.
However π are round and cakes are N2

LOL- you know more than me and i finished highschool- BUT- i do have a legit excuse- Was sick through most of the years- the physical exhaustion wasn’t so bad, but the mental exhaustion really got to me- they basically gave me a complimentary diploma- though i did do well in certain subjects- BUT not math- always had a mental block when it comes to math- 2 years to finish PRE algebra- uggh!
Well, I hated math in school and did horribly in it. Look several decades later and I’m working in the water treatment business and suddenly math made sense because I could apply it to somethings that I was using in the real world. That’s where I learned how to do math and also to run Microsoft whatever XL spreadsheets and put formulas into the simplify my life in the water business for chemical calculations and such so the damned teacher was right after all. “you’ll need this someday.”
lol- they told me that too- I did try- and probably coulda done better if i had concentrated more effort towards it- but for some reason- i have a partial photographic memory with many things, but with math i just can’t see it in my mind like i could with other subjects- i could always see the page, paragraph, the sentence needed to answer the quiz etc, and pictures on the pages etc of other subjects- but not math-
i use the 5k=3mi rough conversion and try the arithmetic in my head, doesn’t always work... 8^)
yes it is...
LOL!!! play a recording of a V12 running and see what he does
