I’m not one to defend Biteme, but those sandbags were inappropriately placed.
Sandbags appear to be securing the microphone stand. They blocked the area directly in front of the lectern.
I would have tripped over them if distracted by the crowd or my attention was focused elsewhere.
Microphone stands typically secure themselves as they are weighted, unless you drag it around singing like Steven Tyler, they are lighter.
The teleprompter has a small Black sandbag, there was no reason to be walking so close to that on such a large stage. He is safety unaware, like many older folks.
