A Florida woman’s car went airborne while driving in Georgia after her car traveled up the ramp of a parked tow truck and flew more than 100 feet.
The incident happened May 24 on U.S. 84 in Lowndes County, according to body camera footage. A Lowndes County Sheriff’s deputy was responding to a car accident on the opposite side of the highway’s grass median. While the deputy was at the crash scene, his body camera recorded the car drive up the back ramp of the lowered tow truck ramp before taking flight for approximately 120 feet, flipping and rolling over in the process, according to WCTV in Georgia.

Texting and driving?
The tow truck was in a travel lane and did not have the amber flashing lights turned on.
Hold muh beer.
The return of Evel Knievel.
“Makin’ their waaay the only way they know how...”
Years ago, on highway headed southbound, and a dull grey night, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a lot of sparks being produced by some vehicle about 2 miles back, also southbound.
Kept an eye on that vehicle, and it was moving fast. After a while, it caught up.
It was a tow truck with a car on the hook, and as the truck and its “customer” pulled alongside, there was a sight.
The after 20% of the towed car, was gone - filed away by the concrete highway. Obviously the tow truck driver was “upset” In a big hurry. No care at all.
And away they went, south and into the night. Sparks flying.
She was really clocking along when she launched herself. I am guessing she was WAAAYY over the speed limit. I am sure that the investigators will review tapes, measure distance traveled after launch, angle of take off and come up with a pretty good estimate of just exactly how fast she was racing along.
The towed car was probably his MIL’s car, and she wanted him to fetch it.
The amber lights are a hazard.
Jackasses in cars are drawn to em. People try to routinely kill me on the side of the freeway.
That being said, GSP should have blocked said travel lane with his cruiser and coned/flared it off, well before the truck operator began recovering.
Bondo, James Bondo...
Funny.
“I’m late! I’m late! For a very important date! No time to say ‘hello’—goodbyyyeee...!!!”

Not as difficult as it may seem. I once beat that in a green 1979 Chrysler New Yorker 5th Avenue. Its not as difficult as one might think, I wasnt even really trying.
Though I cant claim to know for sure how long or far I was actually airborne during that distance. I do know that according to the officer that wound up cleaning it up that I “rolled it at least four times and flipped it end to end three”.
The car was totaled but I walked away with no problems.
Hey! Did I ever tell you about the time I did this in a 1979 Chrysler New Yorker 5th Avenue? Its not as difficult as one might think...
Studies have been done that indicate people who are intoxicated focus on bright lights to the point that they drive towards them.

Paint it orange and put confederate flag on side just like in Dukes of Hazard .....
Florida woman imitates the Dukes of Hazzard ping.
