I have no clue as to how many acres of trees there are but I can say it is the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine trees in the world.
It’s YUGE!
“it is the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine trees in the world.”
Wow, I didn’t that. Sounds quite Yuge!
I don’t know if I ever told you, but the area our cabin was in was named the Ponderosa. Misnamed because the Ponderosa Pines were down the hill at around 5000 feet. We actually had Jeffrey Pines at 7200 feet. They were similar to the ponderosas, except for the delightful butterscotch fragrance their sap had. I don’t know if the misnaming was on purpose, because Jeffrey isn’t a very good name for a community.
