Why?
Because the whole LGBT adenda went from a demand for tolerance, to a demand for acceptance, to a demand that everyone embrace their lifstyle.
The reaction is not an overreaction, unless you ignore the ever increasing demands of the LGBT agenda.
Most people are moderate and willing to take a live and let live (you go your way I’l go mine) attitude. That has increasingly not been enough for the LGBT activists.
Government and schools need to be neutral in most all controversial areas, acting neither as a promotor nor as an inhibitor - an agnostic. The “gay pride” flag is no different than a Christian banner - it takes a position that not everyone should have to embrace. It has no place in schools nor flying from any government building.
It’s gone so far...all you have to do is ask their opinion of Jesus Christ. Many of them will be very quick to share their disdain for the ‘evil man that has perpetuated hate over generations’. They’re demonic.
That said, I think we should engage in discussion of Christ and point out their obvious ‘hateful bigotry’.
We just want to love whomever we wish
We just want to have a union with whomever we wish
We just want to get married to whomever we wish
We just want gay marriage to be recognized nationwide
We just want to be able to adopt
We just want to be able to have gay clubs in school paid for by taxpayers
We just want to be able to not have Christian clubs in school
We just want to be called by whatever pronoun we wish
We just want you to acknowledge that silence is consent
We just want to have drag shows in school
We just want to have explicit sexual books in your elementary libraries
We just want to let children decide which gender they are
We just want you to not be able to know what your child’s gender is in school
