I guess the person writing this never heard of a flatbed tow truck. A similar thing happened near me but involved a landscape truck with the tilt down body. It’s like a flatbed with sides on it. A man and his son were loading up the equipment when a driver drove up the back of the truck and hit the father. The poor guy died instantly. It’s dangerous on the road with so many drivers not paying attention.
...in this case, if only someone had invented something eighty years ago to put in the roadway to warn drivers... like a traffic cone or something...
