“We do not know which heavenly body the Sumerians identified as “Nibiru””

Well, the name could be a clue. It means “the ferry”. What does a ferry do? It goes back and forth.

So I would tend to think it was what they called comets (as you see them moving towards the sun, then back away from it). Either that or some body they would see transiting one way and then the other, perhaps from the illusion of retrograde motion.

You're getting ahead of the fun here!

I would have put a "language warning" for the one word at the tail end of the man's video clip, but I didn't realize it was there. I initially had watched it on mute.

It was a couple of clicks past the article to get to it. I still had to laugh though. Kind of like when swear words just seem appropriate in the context of a thing. He doesn't go off like Cousin Vinny or anything.

"Ferry" has to do with...

Nibiru (also transliterated Neberu, Nebiru) is a term in the Akkadian language, translating to "crossing" or "point of transition", especially of rivers,[1] i.e., river crossings or ferry-boats. While the nature of the "crossing" in astronomy has "long been a source of confusion in scholarly and popular opinion",[2] in a 2015 report for the Cuneiform Digital Library Bulletin,[2] Immanuel Freedman analyzed the extant cuneiform evidence and concluded that the hypothesis that the name Nēbiru may be assigned to any visible astronomical object that marks an equinox is supported by cuneiform evidence.

The trail leads on to the "First point of Ares" (Ares being closely associated with Mars):

In ancient Egyptian astronomy, Aries was associated with the god Amon-Ra, who was depicted as a man with a ram's head and represented fertility and creativity. Because it was the location of the vernal equinox, it was called the "Indicator of the Reborn Sun".

>>>

Astrologically, Aries has been associated with the head and its humors.[16] It was strongly associated with Mars, both the planet and the god. It was considered to govern Western Europe and Syria and to indicate a strong temper in a person.[17]

The First Point of Aries, the location of the vernal equinox, is named for the constellation.

The Sun is the hub of the solar system (place of the Revolution literally) which is the origin of "the Hub" nickname for Boston , and separately the Boston Stone's lore is that it was the Zero milestone for distances out of the city. So the same kind of thing, the rays (roads) emanating out from that place at the head of the corner, on the street named for the first ferryman.

And on that note full circle...

The stone, a flattened sphere about 2 feet (0.61 m) in diameter,[1][unreliable source?] hollowed out on one side,[2] is embedded in the foundation of a building on Marshall Street (a narrow alley named for Thomas Marshall, captain of a ferry to Charlestown in the late 17th century)[3] in the Blackstone Block Historic District. Below the stone is a plinth inscribed "Boston Stone 1737". There is no plaque and no further elucidation, and the Boston Stone has no official status.

Boston Stone

Folks around would know, however, that 1737 is Greek for the "Philosopher's Stone" [Φιλοσοφική λίθος]. Just thought I'd toss that in.

This post ties in with the one I was initially working on and will post shorty. It's short so no one need panic nor swear.
