How much does Mounjaro cost?
.
A lot.
You can get coupons to help with copays but you have to have a diabetes diagnosis.
It has been very popular for weight loss (hasn’t been approved for that yet, but it is in process)... a lot of celebs are using these types of injections (Ozempic/Monjaro, etc.) and probably paying cash. Without a diabetes diagnosis, you have to get a prior auth through your insurance company and even then the copay is about 1K. Per month.
Too much:
1. Nausea and vomiting
2. Diarrhea
3. Decreased appetite
4. Stomach pain
5. Low blood sugar
6. Pancreatitis
7. Gallbladder disease
8. Kidney damage
9. Thyroid tumors
More than dropping anything white from your diet.
Fat, sugar, starches
Comes in a box?...you can’t have it.
Man made and shelf stable?...nit for you...
Retail about $1000 a month
I just hit the century mark, though the real reason I take it is my blood sugar no longer fluctuates between an A1C of 8 to 15 with no rhyme or reason. I worry about the impact on blood sugar of those that will use it for weight loss. Even with it on board, it is still work. Last I saw, $1025 for four weekly doses... before insurance.
How much does Mounjaro cost?
A lot more than a healthy diet and exercise :-)
