EXCLUSIVE: San Francisco dog owner says pet ate opioid-tainted human feces at local park

Can't for the life of me believe that human feces could still contain enough opioids (or other drugs) to make an animal sick.

Any biochemists / pharmacologists / forensic pathologists in the room who care to weigh in?

Yeah, this story doesn’t really pass the smell test. The animal might have ingested drugs but I don’t think it got them from someone’s poop.

I don’t know anything about drugs being in poop, but don’t bc pills for women get in our water system through their urine? And other drugs as well? They do urine tests for drugs. So it wouldn’t be too far fetched to think it could be in poop.
