Lennon’s body requires continuous refreshment, It is re-embalmed periodically to keep it in condition, plus it’s in a room that is humidity and temperature controlled, along with under the glass covering.
I’m not certain but I think I read that in a National Geographic issue years ago but it might have been Smithsonian Magazine.
Who knows, it might even be wax at this point in time given the technological advances in that media.
