What do these idiots think McCarthy was going to get? The GOP has no leverage, and the media will massage the news and Rebubs will get blamed for a shutdown or default.

Anything we get is icing on the cake.

If you want a real conservative Budget...win the Senate and the White House. And add to the majority with better candidates in the House. The Freedom Caucus is becoming irrelevant.

This is, and has been, a different Time.

The United States (not “america” as they try to call us), no longer posesses the capital formation, as left to the Far East and elsewhere
And even unsustainable is the illegal flood of “americas” from our South.

Trump ridding NAFTA was the rebirth. They hate his guts.

The problem is entitlements. Generally, given the near 50/50 split there is no majority with the raw political power to make reductions in the entitlements.

Yes, you are 100% correct, The Ponzi scheme that is S.S. and the 8% annual increase in the Federal budget are here to stay.

So there are some questions to be answered sine you are invested in the art of the "possible".

The R give me nothing other than B.S.

The D get me to hell that much faster

The 3rd party is an unknown untried option that needs to by explored and tried

There is no “cake” this Time/ERA

There is no “icing” this Time.

There was a Time/Era with Regean and a rebirth with Trump.

They are stealing Our resources (eg natural gas, fuel-pipelines, industries), together with an “americas” invasion from the South

Not sustainable. We are the United States, not “america”.

There is no going back, there simply is no way to contain this level of debt. GOP and dems will not make the cuts required to save the country, they are hell bent on destroying the future, and creating debt slaves for gen x, y, z etc

Anything better than Biden’s Budget Proposal is better and icing. They capped spending at 0% increase for next year and a 1% increase the year after that.

We want more, yes. Win elections.

Sundance explains it this way:

“In deep Republican politics, ideology -the policy of politics- is a tool. The end goal is always money. Democrats want power, Republicans want money. Democrats use money to gain power; Republicans use power to get money. This is the core difference in their business model. This truism is also why there’s no pushback to the ideological policy of the Democrats. Republicans can simply be paid off.”

“You and anyone who voted for an R got rolled.”

The rolling is just warming up. Just take a look at the tax rates of 1978 Britain:

<£750 rate of 25 per cent,
otherwise below £7,000 basic rate of 34 per cent
The next £1,000 40 per cent.
The next £1,000 45 per cent.
The next £1,000 50 per cent.
The next £1,500 55 per cent.
The next £1,500 60 per cent.
The next £2,000 65 per cent.
The next £2,500 70 pet cent.
The next £5,500 75 per cent.
The remainder 83 per cent.

https://api.parliament.uk/historic-hansard/commons/1978/apr/17/8-income-tax-charges-and-rates-for-1978

There’s a reason why Joe wants 80,000 new IRS people, the tax rates are going so high that millions of Americans will try to illegally avoid getting fleeced.

Imagine if you’ve been paying 20% of your income to the IRS and then are mandated to pay 40%.

Democrats will gain absolute power in January 2025 unless Democratic ward heelers are shown to have failed to deliver on Democratic 2020 election vote buying promises.

Joe Biden’s 2020 election-winning vote buying promise to student loan debtors must be blocked.

It’s all a game to all of them. The rolls just reverse depending on who holds the Presidency and the makeup of congress.

I agree about the word “multiple. It is the most overused word in the country. Whatever happened to many, numerous, and several ?

As long as the dollar reigns Supreme itching will change. There are too many signs that the reign of the dollar is not everlasting.

So by not voting for any R you are supporting the Rats. That is a line I will not cross. I voted for Reagan the first time. Have never voted for a single democRAT candidate. Have not always liked my options but to support a Marxist/communist otherwise known as democRAT is totally unacceptable.

I like that idea. Go all in on that even if everything else gets funded. That would be a win on the IRS boondoggle and you can hold that up high. Couldn’t extend it 4 trillion though

Yes, not voting for the R brings communist ideology to our shores, via internal process.

In the day, we used to castigate the GOPe for vowing not to support a conservative. Now, it’s the conservatives that vow not to vote for any conservative other than their chosen one.

Times have changed, but we also have Libertarian liberaltarians posing as conservatives on FR and in Congress.

The US Debt Clock has the debt currently at $31.8 trillion with 2027 expected to be at least $42.8 trillion. These guys are very accurate and match FRED.
